Good News for Alice Bliss, the musical

Some wonderful news for Alice Bliss, the musical. Our team – Jenny Giering (music), Adam Gwon (lyrics), Laura Harrington (book) – has been invited for a week long residency at the Weston Playhouse in Weston, VT during the first week of May. This is a great opportunity and it is occurring at just the right time for us. Our first week-long residency was in February at Goodspeed Musicals, courtesy of the Johnny Mercer Foundation. We revised our outline and wrote 6 scenes and 4 songs. In another week of concentrated work in Weston, we hope to make major progress. Setting the Stage for the Next Stage of Alice Bliss

Next week I will welcome composer Jenny Giering and composer/ lyricist Adam Gwon to Gloucester.to begin work on Alice Bliss, the musical.  We have a wonderful commission from Playwrights’ Horizons in NYC. (Playwrights Horizons produced my very first musical, Lucy’s Lapses, written with composer Chris Drobny.) I’m excited to spend a week kick starting this project with these two amazing artists.
